Meet the Team

3·6·5 was formed in 1982 to help raise the professional and creative standards within the hairdressing industry. Meet some of the people making it all happen today.

Ken West

Ken entered hairdressing immediately after leaving school, training and working as a stylist at a large salon in South London. After becoming disillusioned with practical hairdressing, he spent a period of time working in sales and business management but eventually returned to his true passion.

He opened his first salon over 25 years ago with great success. After experiencing difficulties in his third salon, he joined 3·6·5 realising that he wanted new ideas to thrive in today’s ‘High Street Jungle’.

Respected as a passionate member for many years, he was invited to become part of the coaching team where his knowledge of all aspects of business proved invaluable. In 2008, Ken became Director of 3·6·5 Education where today he enjoys developing the ever evolving education programme as well as helping members with their day to day challenges.

Di Tickler

Di has been with Salon Success, since 1982 as Executive Assistant to founder Leslie Spears.

During her time with the company Di was our first UK sales consultant for Paul Mitchell® Luxury Hair Care as well as 3·6·5, travelling around the UK and Ireland to meet and greet members.

She currently looks after our 3·6·5 members, the coaches team, the 3·6·5 Task Force and is a member of the coaching team herself. As well as always being there for our members, her other responsibilities include administration for new 3·6·5 salon members.

Em Davis

Em joined Salon Success in June 1990 initially studying to be an accountant, and worked within the Finance team. Along the way she discovered a passion for all things technical and took the decision to study software engineering at Hatfield University.

Em has worked within the Management Information Systems (MIS) team since 1992. For many years she was involved with salon point of purchase systems. As Director of Management Information and Education Systems, she is now responsible for integrating today's and tomorrow's technology with our education solutions.

Tracey Miller

Tracey is currently on maternity leave.

Tracey has been a part of 3·6·5 since March 2006.

She works as an Opal Elite Co-ordinator organising courses and events, like our bi-annual Symposium, alongside her fellow team members and is the main point of contact for Opal members.

Tracey also presents on a number of 3·6·5 education courses as well as running the 3·6·5 shop selling tools and fun items that help contribute to salons’ activity. Tracey is enthusiastic and hard-working and provides support and advice for 3·6·5 members with the rest of the team.

Teresa Carter

Teresa joined 3∙6∙5 in February 2011 to support the team in Tracey’s absence.

She currently works as the Opal Elite Co-ordinator and has been invaluable in organising this year’s Symposium events.

Teresa is the main contact for Opal members and is a very enthusiastic member of the team.

Benjamin Tysoe

The newest of the 3·6·5 team, Ben attended Winchester University, where he focussed on Journalism and Web Marketing.

Ben’s focus is on industry research and development of the education programme whilst also taking responsibility for the 365 Facebook account.

He is also the teams’ general guide on all things web based. He is available in the office, and works hard to make sure that clients are getting the most out of 3·6·5’s online tools and materials.
